If you are not a cisgendered male this blog is for you!

Flower Crown Magazine is a new digital magazine for young intersectional feminists! We are about having fun but not at the expense of the marginalized. We believe in the power of choice but we believe in examining those choices as well. We believe in body positivity! We believe in sex positivity that doesn't exclude asexuals. We believe in fighting for our sisters not just our cisters. And we most certainly do NOT believe in the silencing and erasure of women of color. We believe in self love. We are a lifestyle magazine with a socially conscious lean.

TW: abuse, partner abuse, interpersonal violence

This zinebook/online PDF, The Revolution Starts At Home: Confronting Partner Abuse in Activist Communities, discusses partner abuse within activist communities. These communities are often considered immune from violence and abuse, which this publication proves can be very far from the truth. Indeed, it can be even harder seeking support from others in the community if it is not considered to be an issue. It has some amazing stories of survival and rebirth from those who have escaped (or still might be escaping) situations where people/partners who were seemingly “on their team” ended up being just as limiting and silencing as the society they are acting against.

It is important to remember that within our equality/liberation-seeking movements, there are still those that seek to silence. It also provides support and help on how to recognize these problems and how to eradicate them in your own independent movements.

We have to stick together and protect one another, even if that means protection from someone within.

11 ways to solve rape better than nail polish

The more we depend on women to prevent rape, the easier it is to blame them when it happens to them. Here’s a look at the well-documented ways we can actually stop rape. Maybe it’s time we invest a little more time and resources into implementing them before we send gallons of nail polish to colleges across the country.
